A Hoplite Soldier was the most common type of foot-soldier in ancient Greece from the 7th to 4th centuries BC. If the Holplites were craft beer drinkers, they would need a flavorful, light-bodied, lower-alcohol IPA to keep them on their toes in case of battle. Hoplite has the massive hop aroma and flavor profile of a traditional IPA, with the sessionable characteristics of a lower alcohol beer. This beer uses new hop varieties to create flavors and aromas of strawberry, melon and citrus that will have you ready for a day in the hot summer sun.
